3. LIKE ME (2018)

What makes Like Me one of the greatest Addison Timlin movies is the interesting ideas it explores with its storyline and cinematography. The actress takes the lead as Kiya, a loner who is devoted to living recklessly. She soon decides to build traction on social media by posting videos of herself committing crimes around the city on her page. Along the way, she meets an eccentric group of people who get sucked into her chaotic, drug-fueled lifestyle.

The film is a visually compelling masterpiece that offers an insightful look into the digital world and what it means to be isolated or to build a personality within it. Like Me drizzles with melancholy and lunacy in all the right places. It is equally gross and beautiful, leaving viewers with a sense that anything could happen, and then it does. Addison’s performance is dazzling and captivating from her first scene to the last.

4. AFTERSCHOOL (2008)

After School is Antonio Campos’ directorial debut and it marked him as a star in the making. The film is intelligent and its script is elevated by impressive performances from its cast. Most of its drama takes place in a prestigious prep school where voyeurism and violence run free. The movie centers around Robert, played by Ezra Miller, who is one of the students at the school. He has an obsession for hardcore pornography, and for making videos about the antics of his classmates. One day, he documents the drug overdoses and subsequent deaths of two girls which leaves him feeling distraught and alienated. Addison is an absolute vision in this film. She plays Amy, a student who develops a complicated romantic relationship with Robert.

Californication follows the carnal escapades of Hank Moody, a New York City novelist who winds up in Los Angeles after the movie rights for one of his books is bought and he is brought on board to write the screenplay. After overcoming a serious case of writer’s block, he takes on several ghostwriting jobs, teaches creative writing to college students, and even experiences a brief stint in college. Regardless of the state of his life, Hank is constantly whoring with just about every woman he meets even when the costs of his affairs end up being too great. Addison Timlin joins the show in its fourth season as a beloved actress who is set to star as the lead character Mia, for a book that Hank is writing the screenplay. She ends up seducing him and their relationship moves from professional to very not so. Although the series lost some of its trademark charms during its last few seasons, Californication is still considered one of the most entertaining shows to hit television.

6. THE LEAGUE (2009-2015)

The thing about The League is that you either really like the show or really hate it. There’s no in-between. The series features an ensemble cast and revolves around a group of friends who are in a fantasy football league. They struggle to balance the demands of the league with their real lives, and this becomes increasingly challenging when the desire to win at all costs overtakes the good-natured fun of the competition. The pressures of the league soon begin affecting their personal relationships and their work lives. However, the bragging rights that come with winning the league are too great for the friends to consider giving it up. Plenty of real-life NFL players and athletes make cameos as themselves in this captivating series. Addison Timlin also manages to hold her own and show off some of her trademark talents.

7. BEST MAN DOWN (2013)

You know a movie is going to have serious issues when its most compelling character dies within the first few minutes. This sloppy and confusing comedy is about Lumpy, a best man who dies shortly after his friend’s destination wedding, forcing the newlyweds to abandon their honeymoon and plan his funeral instead. Along the way, secrets and surprises emerge and they realize they might not have known Lumpy as well as they thought they did.

Addison plays Ramsey, a 15-year-old girl who had a complicated relationship with Lumpy, and although her performance is more than satisfactory, it is not enough to save this blubbering mess of a movie. The movie fails to generate many laughs despite being a comedy, and the drama is barely enough to keep it afloat. Far from being one of the greatest Addison Timlin movies, Best Man Down is one of the actress’ biggest failures. If you’re still unconvinced as to just how bad this film was, then it might interest you to know that it only grossed $2,300 at the global box office against its $1.5 million production budget.

8. ZERO HOUR (2013)

When his wife is abducted from her antique clock shop, Hank Galliston, a paranormal aficionado must race against time, put all his knowledge of the supernatural to test and find her before hell breaks loose. His search for his wife pulls into a mystery that stretches across several centuries and countries. He soon discovers that one of the antique clocks in his wife’s shop holds a treasure map leading to something cataclysmic, and now he must figure out the secrets the map holds while ensuring it doesn’t get into the wrong hands.

Addison Timlin plays Rachel, one of Hank’s associates who join him in his quest to save his wife and, possibly, all of humanity. ABC canned the show after three episodes because it received the lowest ratings in the network’s history. Despite its grand ambitions, the plot of the series was ridiculous and the bad performances from its cast destroyed any hope it had of being decent.

9. THAT AWKWARD MOMENT (2014)

For a movie that is billed as a romantic comedy, That Awkward Moment is terribly not too funny and falls flat on its face. Despite its charming cast, consisting of Zac Efron, Imogen Poots, Michael B. Jordan, Mackenzie Davis, Miles Teller, Jessica Lucas, and Addison Timlin, every second of the film feels wasted. The storyline is too contrived and formulaic to result in a rewarding viewing. The film follows three best friends who find themselves in that confusing and uncomfortable moment in a relationship where you have to wonder where things are going. The movie’s big reveal is that guys can fall in love too, but it only manages to hit all the old cliches it attempted to move away from. At its best, That Awkward Moment is a moderately smart movie with failed ambitions, and at worst, it’s an utter waste of time.

10. FALLEN (2017)

There are many reasons Fallen does not qualify as one of the greatest Addison Timlin movies: the poorly written script, forced acting, lack of character development, nonexistent chemistry between the cast members, and an overall sense of incompleteness. It is just a weaker version of every supernatural movie with a love triangle that has come before it. Instead of actually doing the work they’re paid for, the actors spend time breathing heavily and brooding melodramatically. Even the special effects leave much to be desired in this less-than-fantastic story about a girl who mysteriously ends up in a school where she falls in love with two boys who also happen to be angels. At the end of the movie, the viewer is grateful that the nonsense has come to an end, and slightly annoyed at everyone who let it get that far.
