The series tells the story of Mary, Queen of Scots and her early exploits, however, it is only but a fictionalized version of her life, notwithstanding, the show was able to impress both viewers and a good number of critics. It premiered on The CW on October 17, 2013, and ended after four seasons and 78 episodes on June 16, 2017.
Though the historical inaccuracy of the show did not sit well with some critics, others praised it and commented that it was to its advantage. The pilot episode of the show won Hollywood Post Alliance Awards’ Outstanding Color Grading award and People’s Choice Awards’ Favorite New TV Drama. 2. Neighbours (2007)
Thanks to Neighbours, Adelaide Kane had the platform to launch her journey to stardom. The soap opera has been running in Australia since the mid-1980s and is the nation’s longest-running TV series. Kane’s character Mia Pearson hails from a family of party planners and they land the biggest job in their company’s history when they are offered the job to plan a New Year’s Eve party for tech entrepreneur Kate Clark who is portrayed by Pauline Egan.

8. The Purge (2013)
Despite its mixed to negative reviews, horror film The Purge would become the first of a horror film franchise. America has become ravaged by crime and the government does not help matters when they sanction a 12-hour period where any criminal activity including killing is deemed legal.
The film was rated 39% by Rotten Tomatoes. It was criticized for including tired clichés and being too violent for a teenage audience. Regardless, The Purge was a success at the box office making $89.3 million from a $3 million budget making it the lowest-budgeted film to gross the highest since 1988. As a result, it gave birth to a film series.
9. Secrets of the Mountain (2010)
Procter & Gamble and Walmart entered into a contract to make a series of commercial TV films targetted at families and Secrets of the Mountain was the first one made. This one of Adelaide Kane movies basically tells a story of how a family who lives in a cabin atop a mountain must survive tough times. Kane portrays Jade Ann James in the film which has been rated 5.7/10 by IMDb. Procter & Gamble reportedly spent $4.5 million to make the film which features embedded marketing of the company’s products.

10. The Devil’s Hand (2014)
The Devil’s Hand is a horror movie that was slammed by critics for not being terrifying enough as it seemed a bit more like a teen melodrama. A prophecy is given about a small Amish community that on the 6th day of the 6th month, 6 girls would be born and on their 18th birthday, one of the girls would become the Devil’s hand. In a bid to stop the prophecy, the community’s Elder Beacon is committed to killing all of the girls. The ending of the film was praised for getting back to the horror theme which it had lost somewhere in the middle.
The acting of its cast which in addition to Kane includes Alycia Debnam-Carey, Rufus Sewell, Thomas McDonell, Leah Pipes, Jennifer Carpenter, and Ric Reitz was praised. The direct-to-video film has a 4.9/10 IMDb rating.
11. Goats (2013)
Adelaide Kane had a small role in this poorly rated coming-of-age movie which is based on a book of the same title. It tells the story of a teenager who leaves home for prep school where he joins the track team, befriends a marijuana addict and falls in love with a promiscuous girl. Made on a budget of $5 million, Goats first premiered at the Sundance film festival. Rotten Tomatoes rates it at 19%.
12. Louder Than Words (2013)
This Adelaide Kane movie – Louder Than Words – is a family drama where a grieving couple after the shock death of their daughter decides to build a state of the art kid’s hospital.
