The media personality received her elementary and high school education in the U.S. Although the name of the elementary school she attended is not known to the public, she was among those who passed out with good grades from Wheatland High School. Upon completion, she was admitted to the University of Southern California to study communication and media studies. Bankert later obtained a bachelor’s degree from the university after four years.

Adrienne began her journalism career immediately after she graduated from university. Her first job was as a traffic reporter for the Sacramento-based KCRA-TV television station on the show, Traffic Pulse. Her stint at the firm lasted from October 2004 to June 2006, after which she joined Hearst Television KCRA and was promoted to the position of host, news anchor, and reporter.

While Adrienne Bankert’s stint at KCRA lasted, she brilliantly covered major events around the world including the California wildfires, the discovery of the missing child, Jaycee Dugard, the Japanese earthquake, and tsunami that occurred in the year 2011, as well as Jerry Brown’s 2010 governorship race.
