American actress, Alessandra Torresani is best known for playing the role of Zoe Graystone in the critically-acclaimed science fiction TV series Caprica. She is also famous for featuring in the 9th and 10th seasons of the popular American sitcom The Big Bang Theory.

Her most notable movie credits include Baby Bedlam (2000), Going to the Mat (2004), and Car Dogs (2016). Alessandra Torresani recently featured in the 2018 dance comedy film Step Sisters which was released on January 19.

Alessandra Torresani’s Biography

Alessandra Olivia Toreson was born on May 29, 1987, in Palo Alto, California. She had quite an early start as she started studying acting and dancing at the young age of 2. Her television debut was as the host of the Warner Bros Kids’ Club for KBWB (Channel 20) in San Francisco.

The young actress went by the name “Alessandra Toreson” till the year 2007 when she changed her last name to “Torresani”.

TV Shows

Her television debut at the age of 9 as a TV host was followed by appearances as a child star in a number of TV series in the late 90s and early 2000s.

In 1997, Torresani appeared on one episode of the Nickelodeon sketch comedy series KaBlam. This was followed by appearances on one episode each of the medical drama series ER in 1998 and the NBC sitcom Working in 1999.

The year 2000 had Torresani feature on 2 comedy TV series: Popular by The Warner Bros TV Network and Even Stevens on Disney Channel. Malcolm in the Middle came between 2001 and 2003. In 2004, she appeared on the legal drama TV show JAG followed by 2 sitcoms Arrested Development and Grounded for Life. In 2005, he appeared in two other sitcoms Love, Inc. and The War at Home.

In 2007, she starred as a Teenage Girl Elf in the popular crime drama series Bones. In 2008, she appeared in the sci-fi series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles which aired on Fox.

2009 was a big year in Torresani’s career, after starring in one episode of the popular crime drama series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, the talented actress was cast as a regular on the sci-fi drama series Caprica. Even though Caprica ended after just one season, it was enough to give Torresani a wide exposure.

In 2011, riding on her fame from Caprica, Torresani was featured as a guest judge on the reality competition series RuPaul’s Drag Race. She also made a guest appearance on the sci-fi series Warehouse 13 and on the horror TV series American Horror Story.

She got another big appearance when she was announced as a principal member of the cast of the comedy web series Husbands. The series ran for 3 seasons which lasted between 2011 and 2013.

In 2014, she featured on one episode of the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men. The year 2015 had Torresani feature on 3 episodes of the family drama The Fosters. In the same year, she also featured on one episode of the comedy series Workaholics.

In 2016, the actress appeared on one episode of the fantasy drama series Lucifer. From 2016 to 2017, she starred in one of her most prominent roles, the role of a scriptwriter Claire on seasons 9 and 10 of The Big Bang Theory.

Family

Alessandra Torresani was raised in an affluent family. She is her parent’s only child and both parents are business executives. Her mother Marcia Glow is a company chief executive. Her father James Sylvester Toreson runs a number of multimillion-dollar techs startup companies.
