Alexa Ellesse Vega was born to her Colombian father, Baruch Vega, a fashion photographer and American mother, Gina Rue, a former model on August 27, 1998, in Florida and lived on a ranch until she moved with her family to California when she was four. She has six siblings including half-sisters Greylin James and Margaux Vega, and half-brother Jet James as well as actresses Makenzie Vega and Krizia Vega.
As a child, she was very athletic and took part in several sports like cross country running and water polo. She also took dancing lessons and is an experienced gymnast as well.
