Ali Cobrin was born on July 21, 1989, in Chicago, Illinois, the U.S. It was there that she was brought up by her parents Peggy Jo (Elmi) and Marvin Richard Cobrin (Micky). She has three siblings- a brother and two halfsisters; Micky B. Cobrin, Andrea Cobrin Long, and Angela Cobrin Landis. While her father was said to be Jewish, her mother is of Italian, English, and German descent although the actress was brought up Jewish.
Performance arts is something she has always been interested in. While she was growing up, she was interested in becoming a classical ballerina and so she trained in that regards. She also competed in the Junior Olympics.
For her high school education, she went to the Chicago Academy of the Arts and then she moved to Los Angeles after she graduated from high school in order to have greater opportunities in pursuing her acting career.

Apart from the movies, she was also in a number of TV shows since making her debut in Look: The Series in 2010. Ali Cobrin next appeared in Kings by Night in 2010, followed by in the romantic sitcom, Friends With Benefit in 2011. In 2015, she was in The Unauthorized Melrose Place Story and then in 2018, she was in The Baxters and Deadly Matrimony.
