Here, the plot revolves around the United States Secret Service agent Mike Banning, who is framed for an attack on the leader on the free world, prompting him to embark on a mission that clears his name up as he finds who is truly behind the attack.

2. Director Ric Roman Waugh Used to be a Stunt Performer

Ric Roman Waugh, who is known for his works as either director, producer, or writer on films like Felon (2008), Snitch (2013), and Shot Caller (2017), directed the film. Unknown to many people, Roman Waugh began his career in Hollywood as a stunt performer in the 80s, appearing in films like Universal Soldier, The Last of the Mohicans, and Last Action Hero. He later went on to take up an acting job, appearing in Kuffs (1992) before choosing to focus on roles behind the camera.

3. It was filmed in Bulgaria and the United Kingdom

Angel Has Fallen was filmed principally in the United Kingdom, in production facilities like Pinewood Studios, Bray Studios, Longcross Studios, and Nu Boyana Film Studios. Like London Has Fallen, studios like the Boyana Cinema Center among other locations in Bulgaria were also used during the filming.

4. The Creators of Popular Film Franchises Co-wrote the Screenplay

Robert Mark Kamen, who is known for his work as creator and co-creator of franchises like The Karate Kid, Transporter, and Taken, contributed to the screenplay of the movie along with director Ric Roman Waugh and Matt Cook. The University of Pennsylvania Doctor of Philosophy degree holder took time away from his vineyard to work on the script after not being part of any work in three years.

Angel Has Fallen was not very well received by critics who were also very critical of its predecessors, calling the trilogy a forgettable one. Lionsgate Films handled the distribution of Angel Has Fallen after Focus Features handled the distribution of London Has Fallen while FilmDistrict Distribution handled that of the original film in the series.
