The actress whose real name is Anne Marie Cancelmi was born on July 31, 1975, in Anchorage, Alaska. She is the daughter of Louis G. and Annette Cancelmi. Louis is an Alaska Air senior executive while Annette was a first-grade teacher at Newport Heights Elementary. The professional name of the actress came from her late great-grandmother’s maiden name, Anna Maria Parisse. She has used the name ever since her early stage appearances.
Annie has mixed ancestry. Her father has portions of Italian, Slovak, and Polish origin while her mum is of both Italian and Syrian ancestry. The popular actress has two brothers – Louis Cancelmi and Michael Cancelmi who took after the teaching profession like their mum.
