Antonio Valencia was born Luis Antonio Valencia Mosquera on August 4th, 1985, in Lago Agrio, Ecuador. He was raised in a modest family of 5 brothers and one sister. His mother sold drinks outside the stadium of their local club while his father traded the empty bottles that young Valencia would find.
As a kid with 5 brothers, Valencia had a lot of playmates and they often played football on a small pitch near their home.
