The actress was born on July 13, 1982, as Aya Rachel Cash in San Francisco, California. She may not have got her acting genes from her parents or anyone else in her gene pool, but she was born to two creative people. Her mother, Kim Addonizio, who is Catholic, is both a poet and a writer. Her father, Eugene Cash, whose family is Jewish, earns his living as a Buddhist teacher.
