The film tells the story of Doug MacRay, James Coughlin, Albert Magloan, and Desmond Elden, four Charlestown, Boston natives who are professional armed robbers. In one of their robberies, they successfully robbed a bank but due to some circumstances, they decided to take the bank manager named Claire Keesey hostage. The robbers later released her but found out that she also lives in Charlestown like them. They, therefore, began doing everything possible to clean out any traces that might lead to her identifying them.

In the film, Blake Lively’s role is that of Krista Coughlin, the sister of James Coughlin. She had a casual sexual relationship with Douglas MacRay the leader of the criminal group.

Summary

Elvis and Anabelle is the 5th movie Blake Lively starred in after she began her career in 1998. It is an American romantic drama film where she played the character of Anabelle Leigh, alongside Max Minghella as Elvis Moreau, Joe Mantegna as Charlie Moreau, Keith Carradine as Jimmy and Mary Steenburgen as Geneva Leigh.

In the film, Anabelle was on her way to becoming Miss Texas Rose but met her death as a result of complications arising from an eating disorder. At the morgue where she is about to be embalmed, she miraculously resurrects at the hands of Elvis Moreau. Later on, they began to take a liking for each other and in no distant time, through the help of Elvis’ father who has now made a full recovery, Elvis and Anabelle became lovers.

While Elvis depicts an embittered young man who jettisoned his dream because of his sense of attachment and love for his family, in particular, his ailing father, Annabelle, on the other hand, is a beauty pageant contestant who does everything she can to satisfy her over ambitious mother.

Summary

Blake Lively as Adaline Bowman is a 29-year-old woman who remained stuck in age for 8 decades after she was involved in an accident. She, therefore, chose to live a solitary life so that no one would notice her longevity and begin to ask questions. However, all that changed when she met Ellis Jones (Michiel Huisman), a charismatic philanthropist who gave her reasons to fall in love again. But after spending a weekend at Ellis’ parents’ house which threatens to uncover the truth about her, Adaline is forced to make a life-changing decision, the result of which will see her running away from Ellis.

While she was on the run, she got involved in an accident where she died but with the electric charges from the defibrillator, she was revived again. When Adaline woke up, Ellis was right there beside her and it was then that she told him of her 107 years old life. Despite the absurdity, Ellis confessed his love for Adaline and so did she. About a year later, Adaline noticed her first grey hair which signified she had begun to age naturally again.

Summary

Back in the 1930s, Café Society tells the story of Bobby Dorfman (played by Jesse Eisenberg) who traveled to Hollywood and fell in love with a certain Veronica “Vonnie” Sybil (played by Kristen Stewart). Vonnie is however in an illicit relationship with Phil Stern (played by Steve Carell) who is actually the one helping Bobby settle down in Hollywood. A point came when Vonnie had to choose between Bobby and Phil and she opted for the latter.

A heartbroken Bobby moved to New York and quickly got swept away by the high-end lifestyle of the city. As he went about living the city life, he met a divorcée named Veronica Hayes (played by Blake Lively) whom he began dating. The duo got married and started raising a family together. This turn of events opened up a new phase in Bobby’s life but his past is far from bygone.

Later on, Phil and Vonnie visited New York and met Bobby and Veronica. Apparently, there were some noticeable romantic sparks between Bobby and Vonnie, even leading to the duo sharing a kiss. They, however, ensured it didn’t happen again but felt otherwise inside. The film ends with the duo starring at each other from a distance.

Summary

This 2012 American crime thriller film on our list of greatest Blake Lively movies and TV shows started off very much different from many other drug-related films. Pot growers Ben (played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Chon (played by Taylor Kitsch) went about their marijuana business in Laguna Beach, California, peacefully with a wide customer base. As business boomed for the duo, they became wealthy, with Ben, in particular, spending a reasonable sum of his money in charity works with a focus on Africa and Asia. The two businessmen were equally in a relationship with Ophelia Sage (played by Blake Lively).

Things however turned around and got messy when Mexican Baja Cartel led by Miguel “Lado” Arroyo (played by Benicio del Toro) decided to move into Laguna Beach and also force the pot growers into partnership with them. The refusal of Ben, Chon, and Ophelia to give in to the request of the Mexican cartel is what rightfully gave this Blake Lively movie its name – Savages.

The American romantic comedy-drama anthology is made up of 11 short films directed differently but with their storylines related in various ways, mostly as it concerns love. The film had its setting in the five boroughs of New York City: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, and Staten Island.

Blake Lively acted in the 5th segment as Gabrielle DiMarco. Other actors in that segment include Anton Yelchin, James Caan, and Olivia Thirlby. The segment was written by Jeff Nathanson while Brett Ratner directed it.

The Private Lives of Pippa Lee has Robin Wright as Pippa Lee, Blake Lively as Young Pippa, Alan Arkin as Herb Lee, Keanu Reeves as Chris Nadeau, Maria Bello as Suky Sarkissian, and others. In the film, Pippa went through her past life through a series of flashbacks with her younger version played by Lively.

An indecent incident happened which saw Pippa being thrown out by her aunt. Now homeless, she began living a bohemian lifestyle, while also working as an exotic dancer.

At this new phase in her life, Pippa found love with Herb Lee who is about 30 years older than she is. The two got married and began a family with two kids. Pippa turned into the quintessential wife and mother every home deserves but to herself, she was no one. As time went on, Herb had an affair with one of Pippa’s friends while Pippa, in turn, harbored an attraction for a young man named Chris Nadeau. It wasn’t long before Herb died and Pippa drove off with Chris at the end of the movie.
