William Brent Burns was born on March 9, 1985, in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. Brent is a Canadian professional hockey player and plays as a defenceman, although at times, he is used as a forward. There is no information on his siblings, parents, and educational background but Brent Burns is a graduate of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL)’s Brampton Battalion.
He started playing with Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) before he went ahead to play for the New York Canadians of the Greater Toronto Hockey League. Most of his minor hockey career was spent playing for the Barrie Icemen and the Ajax Knights of the OMHA and he also spent two years playing in the Metropolitan Toronto Hockey League (MTHL).
