As an American football linebacker, Brian Cushing is popular for his remarkable performances during his time with the Texans, which runs from 2009 to 2017. Among other things, he was the team’s leading tackler.

Brian Cushing has received numerous awards and honors from both his professional and college careers. In 2011 he was already listed as the 54th overall NFL player. As a child, Cushing trained in Park Ridge and led his high school team, the Crusaders, to victory in the 2004 Group IV National Championship, and because he was so exceptional, he was named North Jersey Player of the Year (2004).

Top colleges rushed to recruit the obviously talented footballer, but he chose the University of Southern California. From 2005 to 2008 he played under Pete Carroll (head coach) on the USC Trojans football team as No. 10 (which he shared with John David Booty until 2007). The linebacker is one of two players in the history of American college football who competed as a starter in the Rose Bowl in all seasons of their college careers.

Cushing was drafted into the NFL in 2009 and played in the NFL until 2017 when he became a Free Agent. During his professional career, he won several prizes and awards. Like most soccer players, he suffered numerous injuries during his career. The most recent one was a partial rupture of the medial collateral ligament on September 11, 2016. Fortunately, he did not need surgery for this.

Cushing, who reportedly has a history of drug abuse and performance-enhancing drugs since his college days, was suspended by the NFL for ten games for breaking the rules. After nine seasons with the Texans as the leading tackler of all time, he was released from the franchise team on February 20, 2018. Brian has a very interesting family. He is a descendant of the Cushing brothers, who are known for their fights in the American Civil War. Alonzo Cushing, one of the brothers, was awarded a Medal of Honor.
