Bryan Braman – Bio

Bryan Braman was born in Spokane, Washington, United States, on the 4th of May 1987. Becoming an athlete was somewhat expected due to his family heritage as most of his family members are really tall or were involved in athletics during their younger days. His mother, Tina Braman- Fields, was a sportswoman, a skilled sprinter who held a school record in the 100 meters category. She was also part of a state champion track team made up of four girls. In addition, his grandfather (Ivan Cecil Braman) from his mother’s side was a very tall man who stood at a colossal height of 7 feet 4 inches paired with a 365 pounds weight.

By the time Bryan Braman was in high school he joined the football team as well as the track and field team. Due to his height and body structure, his football teammates nicknamed him, “athletic freak” while his track and field coaches expected him to choose to become an Olympic athlete but he later decided to settle for a career in football. On the pitch during games on the gridiron, Bryan would usually pull off an impressive backfield run untouched to tackle ball-carriers.

After graduating from high school he moved to the University of Idaho where he played one season of football. He then moved to Long Beach City College before transferring to the West Texas A&M University to continue and complete his higher education and collegiate football.

Professional Football Career

As at the time he completed college in 2011, Bryan Braman was undrafted. However, he got signed by the Houston Texans on a two-year contract that ended in 2013. Whilst on the Texans team, he quickly became a favorite player especially in the 2011 season’s match against the Tennessee Titans. In the game, he did well to launch a decisive tackle against punt returner, Marc Mariani, without a helmet on.  In 2012, he recorded a touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts and became a favored alternate pro bowl.

After the expiration of his contract with the Texans, Bryan was signed to a two-year deal worth $3.15 million with the Philadelphia Eagles on the 12th of March, 2014. He then moved to the New Orleans Saints on the 23rd of August 2017. Unfortunately, an injury caused him to be placed in the injured reserve list just after one month with the team. On the 9th of September 2017, he was released from his contract with the Saints.

Luckily for Braman, his former team, Philadelphia Eagles called him back and he was signed on the 12th of December 2017. With him, the Eagles managed to reach the Super Bowl LII. With just one tackle recorded by Bryan, the team sadly lost the match with an end score of 41-33 against the New England Patriots.

His Salary

Currently, Bryan Braman’s annual salary is stated at $900,000 coming after the one-year contract he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. Moreso, considering the fact that he remains an undrafted player he hasn’t been able to earn as high as some of his counterparts in the NFL who were drafted early in their careers. This has thus placed his estimated net worth at  $3,012,500, a figure that is still impressive and can equally afford him a good level of luxury as he so desires.
