Renowned golfer, Bubba Watson, was born Gerry Lester Watson Jr on November 5th, 1978. Bubba was born in Bagdad, Florida, and became interested in golf at a very tender age of six. The nickname Bubba was given to him by his own father who was a former professional footballer. According to Bubba, his father was his inspiration in his early days of golfing and his full support motivated him to become the sportsman he is today but unfortunately, his father died of throat cancer.

When he was six years old, Bubba’s father took him to a golf course for the first time and that was the origin of his interest in golf.
