Despite having ended her marriage with Burzis, she speaks of him to be a good person and was very instrumental in the successes she had recorded in her career as at the time the two were an item.
The reason for their divorce has since then remained an unrevealed secret as neither Burziz nor Hoda have made any revelations about it. Some sources claimed it to be Kotb’s ill health and the strain of moving from New Orleans to New York which Burzis suffered anytime he wanted to be with his wife. This was further compounded by the fact that he wasn’t attuned to living in New York having lived in New Orleans for over 30 years of his life.
