Carmen Ejogo is an actress whose career started on the set of the Saturday Disney morning show back when she was a teenager and she stayed on the long-running Australian children’s television from 1993 to 1995. So far, the British actress has more than fifty films and television serious to her credit since her career took off in 1986. Born on the 22nd day of October in 1973 in Kensington, London, England, Carmen’s ancestry is an interesting blend – she is Scottish from her mother’s side while her father gave her a Nigerian heritage. Her early educational background can be traced to the Oratory Roman Catholic Primary School as well as Glendower Preparatory School. She also studied at Godolphin and Latymer School. The exact dates of when she attended these institutions are not given but what we do know is that her career started in 1993 when she started hosting the Saturday Disney morning show, and even though her time on the show came to an end in 1995, her career was just taking off for greater heights.

From the show, she moved on to the movies taking the industry by storm in the 2000s, with her first work in Love’s Labour’s Lost (2000). In both Boycott (2001) and Selma (2014), Carmen Ejogo played the role of civil rights activist Coretta Scott King for which she got approval from King herself. Among her notable television roles are Kidnapped (2006-2007 – 13 episodes), CHAOS (20122 – 13 episodes) Zero Hour (2013 – 13 episodes) and The Girlfriend Experience (2017 – 7 episodes).
