Cassidy Gifford is an American actress and daughter of the legendary former NFL player Frank Gifford. She is best known for starring in the 2014 movie God’s Not Dead. The actress has also appeared in The Gallows and Time Trap. Her beauty, acting talents, and amiable personality have endeared her to many and helped her gain thousands of fans across the world who follow her work diligently. In 2015, Esquire magazine named her in their list of “18 Beautiful Women America Won’t Be Able to Resist This Summer.”

Who Is Cassidy Gifford?

Cassidy was born on August 2, 1993, in Greenwich, Connecticut to Frank and Kathie Lee Gifford. She is the younger of two children born to the couple, the other being a boy named Cody. Cassidy also has older half-siblings named Kyle, Jeff, and Vicky Gifford Kennedy all from her father’s former marriage. She is still a young woman at present, which means she has a lot of good years ahead of her to build her career and make something remarkable out of her time in Hollywood. There are plenty of opportunities arriving at her door and she has been smart to take advantage of some of them so far.

The actress began her career in 2005 when she made her television debut on an episode of That’s so Raven, but she was unable to give acting her full attention because she was exploring other interests and pursuits as well. Cassidy Gifford went on to star in The Gallows, a horror flick about a spirit that is conjured up and refuses to leave without harming those responsible. Later on, she appeared in God’s Not Dead, a movie revolving around a debate on the probability of God’s existence whether believing or not believing matters.

Her Father – Frank Gifford

Cassidy’s father, Frank Gifford was an American football player, sports commentator, and actor. He spent 12 glorious years playing as a flanker and halfback for the New York Giants before retiring and becoming a commentator and play-by-play announcer for Monday Night Football on ABC. He was awarded the NFL Most Valuable Player Award in 1956, the year The Giants won the NFL Championship. Frank Gifford was an eight-time Pro Bowler. He became an Emmy winning broadcaster, whose work on Monday Night Live, Olympics, and Wide World of Sports was revered as the gold standard for sports broadcasting. In July 1977, Frank was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

 

He married the popular television host , known for anchoring NBC’s Today, as well as Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee. She has received 11 Daytime Emmy nominations, some of which she has taken home. Kathie is also a successful songwriter, singer, and author with several published books and albums to her name. She is a woman who wears many professional hats and is quite accomplished in the midst of them. Kathie has written plays and musicals for Broadway. She is also an entrepreneur with her own fashion line. She has appeared in a number of television series and films such as First Wives Club, Love Me to Death, Days of Our Lives, Hercules, and Sharknado 5: Global Swarming.

Frank and Kathie remained married until he died of natural causes on August 9, 2015, just a week before his 85th birthday.
