Celine Tam, the Celine Dion of Hong Kong was born on the 22nd day of November in the year 2007. She is the daughter of a Chinese music teacher Dr. Steve Tam and his wife Zie Minshan. Celine equally has a sibling, a younger sister named Dion Tam. Apparently, the girls were named Celine and Dion after the iconic Canadian singer . The Tam’s are big fans of the well-decorated singer.
Being born to a music teacher, there is no argument that Celine was born with music genes. Her father who owns and operates a singing academy in China discovered that his daughter had a beautiful voice when she was 3 years old. They were both in his car on a certain day and while Steve was driving, Celine sang Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On with so much emotion such that her dad confessed that she has such a great voice.
He began teaching her thereafter on how to sing various songs, sing in various languages, as well as vary her tone while singing. Celine assimilated all these with so much understanding beyond what can be expected for a kid her age. She first went public when she participated in “Let’s Sing Kids contest.” She auditioned and competed in the Season 10 of “Britain’s Got Talent” but did not enter the live show. In the quarterfinals, the Hong Kong Celine Dion sang ‘s and ‘s When You Believe which earned her a standing ovation from Heidi Klum, as well as enough votes to advance to the semifinals. At this stage in the competition, Celine Tam earned a standing ovation again from Heidi after she performed 2016 film Moana’s How Far I’ll Go but she didn’t receive enough votes to advance to the finals. Thus, Celine crashed out at the semifinals of Season 12 of America’s Got Talent. Though she didn’t win the competition, the exposure it gave her formed the foundation upon which she is recognized as a celebrity today.
