Charlotte Flair was born with the birth name Ashley Elizabeth Fliehr on April 5th, 1986 to parents Ric Flair and Elizabeth in Charlotte, North Carolina, U.S.A. She has a step sister and brother named Megan and David alongside a younger brother Ried who is said to have died in March 2013. Flair attended Providence High School where she played volleyball and landed the title of player of the year for the 2004/2005 season in addition to two state championship titles. After high school, she enrolled in Appalachian State University where she continued to play volleyball, however, she later transferred to North Carolina State University to continue her education graduating in 2008 with a B.sc in Public Relations.

Flair’s career as a wrestler is no surprise as she took after her father Ric Flair a popular wrestler during his days and she even made her first appearance in the ring with him when she was 13 at the World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Flair signed with WWE in May 2012 where she was worked on by trainers like Lodi and Sara Del Rey and appeared in her first match aired on tv in July 2013 with the ring name Charlotte Flair. That same year, she formed an alliance with the team The BFF creating her new identity in the group as the ‘villainess’ joining forces with Sasha Banks and Summer Rae. The next year, she won for the first time the title of NXT Women’s Champion when she defeated wrestler Natalya at the NXT Takeover. Flair got her first shot on the WWE roaster on 8th December 2014 in a non-title game where she lost to her opponent Natalya. Early in 2015, she lost her title in a real match against Banks and though she played a rematch she could not get the title back. Later that year, she entered the competition for Divas Champion which she won after defeating Nikki.

Flair made her debut in Wrestlemania on April 3, 2016, when she competed for the WWE Women’s Championship which took the place of the Diva Championship. The match was a triple match between Charlotte Flair, Banks, and Lynch at the end of which Flair emerged as the winner. She got drafted into the Raw brand in July 2016 and her first match was on July 25 but unfortunately, she lost her WWE Women’s Championship title to Sasha Banks but reclaimed it in August, making her a two-time winner of the title, and subsequently, she won the title on two other occasions hereby making her a proud four-time winner of the Raw Women Championship title.

Flair was moved to the SmackDown brand in April 2017 where she recorded her first victory when she defeated Natalya in her hometown making her the first female wrestler to land the title of Divas, NXT, Raw, and SmackDown.
