6 Things To Know About Christopher Lambert

1. Christopher Lambert Was Born in the United States But Was Raised In Europe

On the 29th day of March 1957, in Great Neck, New York, Christopher Lambert was born Christophe Guy Denis Lambert to Yolande (de Caritat de Peruzzis) and Georges Lambert-Lamond. Not much is known about his mother unlike his father, a French Jew, who was known to have worked as a diplomat at the United Nations Headquarters in Manhattan, New York.

After having spent a number of his infancy years in the Big Apple, Lambert and his parents moved to Europe, first settling in Geneva, Switzerland before ultimately returning home to Paris, France when their son was in his teenage years.

Many people might think that the fact that he suffers from such a disease might restrict him from having to appear in a wide range of roles. Hudson opted to use a young and unknown actor for the titular role, which Lambert auditioned for and got largely because he always seemed to be looking into the distance when he took off his glasses. While Lambert went on to suffer many injuries while performing his own stunts due to his poor sight, the movie was released in 1984 to critical acclaim, announcing the actor’s arrival in the American film industry.
