Clayne Crawford was born on April 20, 1978, as Joseph Crawford. He was born in Clay, Alabama to the family of Matthew Vincent and Lennie Crawford. He attended Hewitt-Trussville High School in Jefferson County, Alabama, where he showed a keen interest in sporting activities. In high school, Crawford played basketball and football, and was also a part of the school’s wrestling team, After graduating from high school, he pursued his college education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he continued to play basketball.
He would have thought of a career in the game until a serious knee injury ended his aspirations. When he turned his thoughts towards acting, Crawford attended The Adarang Approach where he took acting classes. There he also met Josh Holloway, who was also a student of the institute at the same time. Clayne Crawford is of the white ethnicity and holds American nationality.

Abusive behavior on set. Fans feared it would turn out to be fake news, but as the third season of the show was announced on May 14, 2018, it was also announced that actor Seann William Scott will replace Clayne Crawford on the show.
Clayne Crawford’s career has seen him pick up one nomination which shows his impressive performances on the screens has not been unnoticed. His role as Ted Talbot, Jr. in Rectify (2013-15) gave him his first Hollywood nomination as Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series by the TV Critics’ Choice Awards.
