Clint Bowyer was born on May 30, 1979, in Emporia, Kansas. Already as a child, he had a passion for racing and started racing at the age of 5. Motocross was his arena and he conquered it with up to 200 victories and championships in the following 8 years.
In 1996 he started road racing at the famous Thunderhill Speedway in the city of Mayetta, Kansas. Over time, he won the Modified Championship in 2000, after which he turned pro in 2004 when he started racing NASCAR.
Clint’s career break came in 2003 when he finished second in a race for the Nashville Superspeedway. Car owner Richard Childress offered him a job, which he has been expanding ever since. In 2007 Clint won his first race at Sylvana 300 in 2007.
