Elise Labott is a global affairs correspondent. She’s known for her coverage of the United State of America’s foreign policy and international affairs for the Cable News Network (CNN).

Before she joined CNN, she worked for ABC News, Agence France-Presse (AFP) and other media outlets. While she covered the United Nations (UN) for ABC News, she reported on diplomatic and foreign policy matters for AFP.

It was in 2000 that Elise Labott joined CNN. Since then, the media practitioner based in Washington, D.C has reported for the television news channel from over 75 countries. And, many of her reports are on major global events.

She later apologised with another tweet that said:

“Everyone, It was wrong of me to editorialise. My tweet was inappropriate and disrespectful. I sincerely apologise.”

Disregarding that, Ms Labott is having a smooth career with the television news channel. A of her highlighted that she has interviewed and travelled the world with five Secretaries of State.

She was also credited for reporting many major global events like:

  2. The September 11 terrorist attacks and the Arab Spring;
  3. The Palestinian civil unrest and Israeli war with Lebanon in 2006;
  4. Pakistan’s state of emergency in 2007;

While her extensive coverage of the Arab Spring made her travel to countries in Africa like Egypt, Libya, Tunisia and Morocco; she has equally journeyed throughout the Middle East, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

About seven years ago, she was in Afghanistan with U.S. reconstruction teams. There’s no doubt that her passion for her job made her cover news stories from the de-militarized zone on tensions with North Korea, and the conflicts in Syria, Ukraine and Israel.
