Elle Fanning was born on the 9th of April 1989 in Conyers, Georgia, U.S. to Heather Joy and her husband Steven J. Fanning. Her parents were athletes; her mom Joy played tennis professionally while Steven her dad was a minor league baseballer – he however now works as a salesman in Los Angeles with a specialty in electronics.

For school, Elle was pretty much homeschooled until after her 3rd grade. The actress began regular schooling in 4th grade at Campbell Hall located in the Studio City neighborhood of the city of Los Angeles, California, United States. Elle Fanning comes from a family of athletes which dates back to her maternal grandfather Rick Arrington. Rick in his time was a professional American footballer and his daughter Joy (Elle’s mom) did well to continue in sports as she pursued a career in tennis and became a professional player. When it came to marriage, love found Joy Arrington with Steven J. Fanning who in his quarters was also an athlete playing minor league baseball. The affinity of the Dakota’s to sports equally spilled over to one of Elle’s aunts named Jill Arrington, though she doesn’t participate professionally in any sports but rather talks about sports as a reporter with ESPN.
