Emme Rylan was born Marcy Faith Behrens on the 4th of November, 1980, in Providence, North Carolina, USA. Not much is known about her parents and early life, other than that she attended and graduated from Tyrone Area High School, Tyrone, PA, in 1999.
Rylan began pursuing a career in acting in the mid-2000s. In 2005, she appeared in an episode of Drake & Josh. The following year, she took over the role of Lizzie Spaulding from actress Crystal Hunt in the soap opera Guiding Light (2006-2009), and also appeared in films like Armageddon for Andy (2006) and Bring It On: All or Nothing (2006) alongside actress Hayden Panettiere, who has in the past also played the role of Lizzie Spaulding.

Before an Instagram post in January 2019 where Emme Rylan wrote about her sister’s health, not much was known about her family and if indeed she even had any sibling/s in the first place. According to the post, Rylan has a sister named Lara, who is battling stage four cancer. Lara was diagnosed with the disease in October 2018 after months of complaining of having back pain. The pain was found to be caused by a cancerous mass on her sacrum, the bone at the base of the spine just above the tailbone.
Rylan appealed to her followers to help donate anything towards the treatment via a GoFundMe page that the family created. She further revealed that Lara’s savings have been depleted due to treatment.
