Eric Benét Jordan was born on the 15th of October, 1966 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is the youngest of five children. When Eric was younger, he formed a band called Benét with his older sister Lisa, and George Nash Jr – his cousin. The band released their first album in 1992 and it went on to sell over 100,000 copies.
Merely two years later, Eric re-emerged on the music scene as a solo artist and signed a record deal with Warner Bros. Records. In 1996, he released True To Me, his debut solo album with Warner Bros. Records. In 1999, he released A Day In The Life, his second album. This album featured “Spend My Life With You (ft. Tamia)” which was one of his biggest singles.
