Eric Church is without a doubt a talented musician and one of the most iconic country stars performing today. The American country musician and songwriter has been signed to Capitol Nashville since 2005 and released multiple studio albums under them.

Eric Church is one of many musicians with a signature look. He is known for wearing aviator sunglasses which actually began unintentionally. The musician wears contact lenses which would dry out while he was performing because of the heat of the stage lights, as a result, he began wearing his aviator glasses as a protective shield of some sort.

Eric is also a philanthropist. He and his wife founded The Chief Cares Fund in 2013 to help underprivileged families in North Carolina, Tenessee, and even orphans in Nepal. They have also been helpful to people in Haiti and have established no-kill animal shelters. Pretty impressive.

Eric Church Bio & Age

Kenneth Eric Church was born on the 3rd of May 1977 to Rita and Ken Church in Granite Falls, North Carolina. When Eric was only thirteen, he bought himself a guitar and started writing songs. By the time he became a senior in high school, he already had a regular gig, performing at a local bar. He performed a few of his original songs as well as several covers of Jimmy Buffets songs. Some of the places he performed at were a little rough and he often got into fights from the stage.

Eric attended South Caldwell High School and later, he attended Appalachian State University where he graduated from with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. While in college, Eric formed a band with his roommate, his brother, and another guitarist. The band played in a few bars and restaurants around North Carolina for a few years before Eric relocated to Nashville.

After graduating from university, Eric got engaged to a Spanish teacher in Lenoir, North Carolina. Her father tried to persuade him to give up his dreams of being a musician and pursue a corporate career instead. When he rejected the offer, she broke off the engagement. Considering how successful he has become, safe to say she regrets that decision now.

Eric relocated to Nashville with his father’s support and financial backing.

Family: Wife & Kids

On the 8th of January, Eric Church got married in Blowing Rock, North Carolina to Katherine Blasingame – a music publisher. Eric performed “You Make It Look So Easy”, at the wedding – which was incredibly romantic considering he wrote the song for her. On the 3rd of October, 2011, the couple had their first son, Boone McCoy Church. They welcomed their second son, Tennessee Hawkins “Hawk” Church, on the 15th of February, 2015.

Eric Church’s listed height is 6ft 2in (188 cm). Over the years, his weight has fluctuated, not drastically but noticeably; but currently, the musician weighs 170 lbs (77 kg).

The musician does not prioritize fitness and as a result, his diet plans and workout routines are not public knowledge.
