Ezekiel Elijah Elliott was born on July 22, 1995, in Alton, Illinois into a family of athletes. He has as his siblings two sisters.
As Elliot came of age, he got enrolled at John Burroughs School in Ladue, Missouri where he played football, baseball, and basketball as well as ran track. Elliott, however, honed his football skills the more with the John Burroughs Bombers football team for which reason he was named the St. Louis Post-Dispatch offensive player of the year 2012 (junior year). Ezekiel Elliott was born into a family of athletes as traced back to his maternal grandfather who played basketball for Drake University in his youth. His mother Dawn Huff participated in three sports in her own time to which she was a high school state champion prior to her attending the University of Missouri where she would then meet Elliot’s father – Stacy Elliott.
Stacy played college football with the Missouri Tigers football team of the University of Missouri as a linebacker. Following the accusation, the BFL launched an investigation from which they arrived at a decision to ban Ezekiel Elliott from his first six games at the beginning of the 2017 season.
Elliot on several times appealed against the ban but was unsuccessful each time. He cited (as reported) that his now ex-girlfriend had an intimate relationship with his teammate Lucky Whitehead and in addition threatened to ruin his career, saying that ‘You are a black male athlete. I’m a white girl. They are not going to believe you.’ All these happened in 2017.

However, following his 2017 suspension and his unsuccessful appeal against it, it was reported that the footballer would repay over $1.4 million being $240, 000 for each of the six games suspension.
