Fola was born in South London on September 26, 1994. She was very active in sports during her high school days and was known for her exploits in high jump. Fola intended to pursue a degree in Philosophy in the university initially but later canceled her plans, to pursue her dream in fashion modeling and acting subsequently. She revealed in an interview that her modeling career gave her the opportunity to travel the world and make some money while at it.

Later on, she developed an interest in acting and started taking classes. To further enhance her skills, Fola Evans-Akingbola trained at the ‘National Youth Theatre of Great Britain and also went to the ‘Identity Drama School’. He is the percussionist of British jazz-funk band, Jamiroquai and also the lead vocalist of ‘Critical Mass’ – an Afro-funk roots band.

Fola’s father migrated with his parents from Nigeria to London when he was a child. Her uncle, Jimmy Akingbola is also an established British actor and has been one of the people that actively urged her to pursue a career in acting. Fola is reportedly very close to her mother as they both share a passion for societal causes. She intended to follow her mother’s footstep by studying ethics, religion, and philosophy in college before changing her mind and following her dreams.
