Gal Gadot Biography (Age)

Gal Gadot was born on April 30, 1985, in Petah Tikva Israel, and raised one town over in Rosh HaAyin. Her father Michael Gadot is a sixth-generation Israeli and her mother, Irit, a first-generation Israeli. Gadot was brought up in a very Jewish environment and she has a younger sister, Dana. The actress’s first name means “wave” and her surname means “riverbanks”.

She majored in biology in high school and excelled at playing basketball. At the time she also worked at Burger King and had a babysitting gig on the side.

Gal would show just a little of her female power when she won the 2004 edition of the Miss Isreal beauty pageant at 18 and also competed for the Miss Universe crown in the same year. At the age of 20, she served as a combat instructor for two years in the Israeli Defense Forces. She says that it taught her discipline, respect, and selflessness. Following military service, Gadot went on to IDC Herzliya college, where she studied Law and International Relations.

Throughout her modeling career, she has worked with prominent names like Huawei, Captain Morgan rum, Jaguar, Gucci, and Miss Sixty. She has also graced the cover of magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Cleo, Glamour, Entertainment Weekly, New York Post, and so on. In 2012, she came in at No.5 on Shalom Life’s list of “The 50 Most talented, intelligent, funny and gorgeous Jewish women in the world”.

Her breakthrough role came in the form of the character Gisele Yashar in the fourth installment of The Fast and Furious movie franchise. Gadot’s background as a military combat instructor enabled her to perform her own stuntwork during the shoot. Her performance was evidently good enough for her to be called to reprise her character in the following two sequels of the series in 2011 and 2013.

In 2016, she would become one of the established heroes of the DC Extended Universe. She had a lot of training in Kungfu kickboxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, capoeira, and swordsmanship. This training was valuable for her role in the 2016 movie Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. In 2017, she reprised the role in a headlining movie of her own, Wonder Woman, and in the hero ensemble film, Justice League.

Gadot has also portrayed big roles in other movies like Keeping Up with the Joneses, Criminal, and Triple 9.

Gal Gadot Net Worth

Counting her modeling, runway, and movie earnings, Gadot sits pretty comfortably on a decent wad of cash. According to celebrity net worth, she is worth $8 million.

Granted, she only made $300,000 for her role in the magnificently successful film, Wonder Woman, but that is the convention for a superhero in their debut movie. She is more than likely to get paid a killer fee for the inevitable sequel.

Husband and Children

Gal is the wife of an Israeli real estate developer, Yaron Varsano. They met at a party – an event they both describe as unusual – in the Israeli desert. They clicked after that and on their second date, Yaron, who is ten years her senior – told her that he was going to marry her and that he wasn’t going to wait more than two years.

In September 2008, the couple tied the knot. They have two daughters. They welcomed their first child, Alma Varsano in 2011 and the second, Maya Varsano in March 2017.

Gal isn’t the only one in her family who is successful in her endeavors. Her husband is a successful businessman and has done business with the likes of one time Russia’s richest man, Roman Abramovich. He and his brother, Guy, used to own Tel Aviv’s Varsano Hotel. In 2015, they cashed in on the property, selling it to Abramovich for $26 million.

Feet, Height, and Body

Considering the average mortality age in Hollywood, Gal Gadot still has her whole life ahead of her. Her height is impressive at 5 feet 8 inches which translates to 1.78m.
