Gaur Gopal Das is an Electrical engineer turned life coach and motivational speaker who is finding more fulfillment in life coaching others through it. Since he left Hewlett Packard to join the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in 1996, the Indian guru has transformed more lives than he has ever imagined. This he does through his motivational videos, books, speeches, and lectures not only in India but also across the globe.

Gaur Gopal Das was born on the 24th of December 1973 in Maharashtra, India. Beside his given name, he is also known as Prabhu Gaur Gopal Das and Gaur Gopal Prabhu. He hails from the Brahma-Madhva-Gaudiya Sampradaya lineage, practices Hinduism and is a follower of the Vaishnavism (Gaudiya Vaishnavism) denomination. This group worships and considers Vishnu or Krishna as the supreme god and thus the devotees are called Vaishnavas or Vaishnavites.

Gaur earned his first degree in Electrical Engineering from the College of Engineering, Pune in 1995. Following his graduation, he worked at Hewlett Packard as an engineer. However, one year later, he left the secular world to seek a path in religion with the intent of becoming a life coach. Consequently, he joined ISKCON in 1996.

Since he joined the body, Gaur Gopal Das has been active and is consistently thriving towards the goal of self-realization under the teachings of his guru Radhanath Swami, a direct disciple of A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder of the body. Das is a Brahmachari at Radha Gopinath Mandir, ISKCON Mumbai. A Brahmachari is a senior monk and one who observes brahmacharya (chastity) as well as lives as by the Hindu Vedic Scriptures. He is also a leader in the Chowpatty branch of the organization.

As a motivational speaker, Gaur Gopal Das delivers speeches and lectures at various prestigious academic institutions in India and beyond. His lectures boarders on different topics such as happiness, success, and relationships. Gaur Gopal Das is well sought after and has given lectures in the British parliament and Google’s head office. His Family, Wife

The Indian guru was born into a loving and close-knit family of four as the only son. He has a sister. However, along the line in his adult life long before he became a monk, he fell out with his father because of some differences in opinion. For that, he did not speak to the man for two years but on the insistence of his mother, the two reconciled again.

Although the duo returned to speaking terms, one thing Gaur Gopal Das failed to do was to say sorry to his father. His ego kept him from saying the seemingly simple two-letter words, I’m sorry, even after becoming a monk. It was until 2009 when his father died after suffering from Parkinson’s disease that it dawned on the life coach what difference those words could have made not only in their relationship but in his life as well. What he couldn’t tell the old man in his lifetime, he did after his death. Since then, Das has been teaching others to apologize for their mistakes and to forgive people.
