It was as Genevieve Nicole Cortese that the actress was born on January 8, 1981, in San Francisco, California. It was here that she began her life before moving to other places such as Montana when she was just 13, and then Sun Valley, Idaho.
She was brought up alongside Sarah who was her sister, as well as her two brothers Johnny and Ben. While not much is known about her biological father, her mother is Camille Batt and the actress is of Irish, French, and Flemish descent. That pointed out, her stepfather is Jeffrey Batt.
