George Lopez got married to Ann Serrano in 1993. The two had a daughter together, Mayan, who was born in 1996.
Here’s something that many people did not know about George – the actor has a genetic condition that caused his kidney to fail. He was told by his doctors that he needed a kidney transplant in order to survive. George opted to have the surgery after the fourth season of his show, George Lopez. His wife, Ann donated one of her kidneys to him in 2005. The transplant was a success and George’s health recovered tremendously, he even lost 45lbs after the surgery. Since then, man has been at the forefront to bring awareness to the issue.
George and Ann were together for many years before they decided in September 2010 to go their separate ways. His wife filed for divorce in November 2010, citing “irreconcilable differences” in the divorce proceedings. On the 1st of July, 2011, the divorce was finalized.
Since the divorce, George Lopez has kept a relatively low profile. Even though he has been spotted with a few mystery ladies here and there, he has not been in a confirmed relationship since the divorce.
Height, Weight & Body Measurements
Since George’s transplant, he has been in better shape. While he does not have the traditional ‘Hollywood Hunk’ physique, he is still in great shape for his age. The comedian currently weighs 72kgs (159lb), which to be honest, is pretty amazing for his listed height of 5′ 10″ (1.78 m).
However, at this exact time, his other body measurements (such as chest, biceps, waist), his fitness routine, and his diet remain unknown. Considering the actor has lost over 45 lb since his kidney transplant surgery, it is safe to assume that the actor does maintain an exercise routine and healthy diet in order to have shed the weight and keep it off. Beyond that, since the operation, George would need to maintain a healthy life in order to function at optimum potential.
