Gina Grad was born on May 1, 1978, to Marlis and Steve Grad. Radio sure runs in her blood because her father also reads sports news on KNX 1070 radio in Los Angeles. Her mum is a long-time volunteer and co-chair of Greater Kansas City’s White Theatre.
Gina was raised in Overland Park Kansas City where she attended the Shawnee Mission South High School. Growing up, Gina Grad took dancing lessons and participated in high school plays.
In tandem with her Jewish ancestry, she also attended Hebrew school at Conservative Temple Ohev Shalom. Subsequently, she attended the University of Kansas and lived in New York briefly before settling in Los Angeles.
