More than just being a meteorologist, Heather Tesch would agree with anyone who describes her as an artist, a columnist, or an animal advocate. That’s not all as there are those who have come to identify with her as an author and social media personality. Known for her love of promoting weather safety, Tesch enjoys engaging people, making a positive impact on society, and having lots of laughter. Since January 2016, she has been working as a freelance meteorologist with WXIA-TV in Atlanta, Georgia.

Heather Tesch is a citizen of the United States of America; she was born in Buffalo, Minnesota on the 2nd of May and in the year 1967.

While details of her upbringing and early education are hard to come by, it is known that she completed her high school education at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. Heather was a bright student; she graduated Magna cum Laude from the public research university. In addition to that, she has a B. S. degree in Meteorology which she obtained from Plymouth State University. Like her B. A. in Broadcast Journalism, she also pulled off a Magna cum Laude at the coeducational and residential university located in Plymouth, New Hampshire.

Among other career endeavors, Heather Tesch is definitely most known for the time she spent working with The Weather Channel; this was from January 1999 to October 2012. Serving the media outlet in Atlanta, Georgia, she didn’t only focus on live on-air duties. Tesch also served as a producer as much as she featured on animal welfare stories that aired on the channel and on Weather.com. Before she joined The Weather Channel, she worked with WCCO-TV from 1996 to 1998. As stated earlier, she is now a freelance meteorologist working with WXIA-TV.

As at the time of this writing, she serves as a columnist for the Orange County Post – Sentinel where she writes a column known as Heather on Life, Pets, and Weather. It is believed that she hopes to work in a similar capacity for other papers and, that she is looking at what else she could do on television to improve the state of animal welfare and help people get by with the weather.

Her Family

Many questions have been left unanswered about Heather Tesch’s family. Although it is known that she was raised by her parents in Buffalo, their identity has remained a mystery just as it has been difficult to substantiate if she is the only child of her parents. In the same vein, it is known that she is married and that the union has seen to the birth of two kids. But then, nothing is known about the man she is married to and the number of kids they have.
