Hirving Lozano Bio, Height, Weight, Body Measurements, Family

Mostly known as Chucky, Hirving Lozano is a young professional footballer who plays for the Mexican national team as well as the Dutch club PSV Eindhoven. Although he is still rather very young, the winger has shown a lot of promise and talent that got him an invite to the 2018 FIFA World Cup to represent Mexico. Here are things to know about him.

Hirving Lozano Biography

Born on 30 July 1995 as Hirving Rodrigo Lozano Bahena in Mexico’s Mexico City, the footballer was raised alongside his brother in a not-so-well-to-do family and background.

Since he was just a kid, he had already started carving his way with his love for football. This was one of the things that would lead to him getting the nickname Chucky because of how dangerous he could be against an opponent.

Club Football Career

Lozano began his playing career as a youth with Pachuca in 2009 when he was only 14 years old. He remained with the Mexican professional football team until 2014 when he was promoted to the senior team.

During the 2016 Olympics, the young player was linked to Manchester United, even though the deal did not get to materialize at the end of the day. Instead, he was back to the team where he played until 2017 when he moved to the Dutch club, PSV Eindhoven. Since signing a 6-year contract with the team, he has played in 29 games scoring 17 goals on the way by the end of his first season.

As it is with his club footballing career, he has won a number of titles including the Liga MX: Clausura and CONCACAF Champions League with Pachuca while also winning the Eredivisie with PSV.

National Football Career

Even though age is still with him, the story of Hirving Lozano in the Mexican Jersey is rather long and interesting. He made his Under-20 and under-22 debut in 2015, before making it to the Olympics to fly the country’s flag in 2016. At the tournament, he played 3 games and returned home with 3 goals.

His call-up to the national team was in 2016 and he had his first game against Senegal in a friendly match. From then on, he got to appear in the Mexican colors for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers as well as the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.

By the time he was named as part of the 28-man preliminary team to represent Mexico at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Hirving Lozano had already played for the country 25 times and he has netted in 7 goals including a winner that saw Russia out of the 2017 Confederations Cup.

The winger has recorded some personal accolades such as the Golden Boot at the CONCACAF U-20 Championship in 2015 while also making the best 11 teams. In the same year, Hirving Lozano also won the golden boot at the CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Qualifying Championship and made the best 11 teams.

Hirving Lozano’s Family

Lozano comes from a very small family and was raised alongside his brother by their parents, Jesus Lozano (Father), and his mother, Ana María Bahena. His father is a face that is not very absent from the football career of his young son as he has mostly had a say in the things Lozano does.

As indicated, he has a younger brother called Bryan Mauricio Lozano Bahena who unsurprisingly, is also a footballer. The younger Lozano was born on 20 March 1997 and he plays as a midfielder for Club Universidad Nacional.

The footballer has also started his own family being already married. The name of his wife who has remained rather elusive is Ana Obregón. The couple met while Hirving played in Pachuca.

Not so long after meeting, they decided to tie the knot when the footballer was 18 years old. Having revealed how much importance he has placed on his family, the Mexican player has two children with his wife. Their first child, a daughter was born to him in 2014, while the second, a son, was born in 2017.

Height, Weight, Body Measurements

The Mexican midfielder will easily thick the box when it comes to agility and skills, this is even as he will not make it as the most physical one in any team. That stated, he is still athletic and has an average height and a good body weight. Looking at the measurements, he stands at ‎5 feet 8′ inches (1.75m) tall and has a bodyweight of 154 lbs (70 kg).

For his general body measurements, that has not yet been provided, but there can hardly be an argument as regards his fitness as a football player.
