Does She Have Cancer?

Holly Rowe was 2016 diagnosed with a type of cancer known as desmoplastic melanoma. The diagnosis came after Rowe noticed a small spot on her chest and decided to pay her doctor a visit. The spot which was a lump under her skin was removed and found out to have cancerous cells. Rowe fought off cancer but she didn’t enjoy her victory for long as it returned in early 2017.

In February 2017 she underwent another surgery where a cancerous tumor in her chest, a malignant tumor under her right arm, as well as 29 additional lymph nodes were removed. The cancer was said to have spread around her body.

Holly Rowe fights her cancer with a treatment that is done every 21 days. She is also trying out a new cancer treatment method known as amino therapy. Despite her failing health, Holly Rowe remains ever so charismatic and has only had to miss just 10-days of work.

She once told the Associated Press that she never thinks about cancer when she is on the sports field doing what she loves. In the same interview, Rowe expressed her frustration from having to sit around thinking about cancer when she took 5-days straight off because of the illness. “I’ve got to stay busy or I’ll go crazy, Rowe told AP.”

ESPN has stuck by her as much as she has with them. Despite her cancer diagnosis, the sports network in May 2017 renewed her contract.

Rowe has been able to find some humor with her ill health. In 2016 when she had to shave her hair due to constant falling off, she documented the process on social media in a video where she was seen giggling.

Married, Husband, Son, Gay

Holly Rowe’s silence regarding her romantic life has forced many to wonder if the veteran sideline reporter is a closeted gay woman. However, it appears there would be no way of knowing as, despite constant interest from the public, Rowe carefully eschews speaking about that part of her life.

She does have a grown-up son named McKylin (most likely born in the 90s) whom she maintains a close relationship with as is obvious from her frequent posts about him on her social media pages. McKylin whom Rowe obviously had with an African-American man is a burgeoning actor. In one of her posts about McKylin, Rowe revealed that she had attended his college musical of Cinderella where McKylin acted as Prince Charming.

Other speculations about Holly Rowe’s marital status is that she is divorced from the father of her son, however, that part of Rowe remains known only to those with a close real-life relationship with her.
