Imogen Gay Poots was born on the 3rd of June 1989 in the Hammersmith district of West London. She was born to an Irish father Trevor Poots, originally from Belfast, North Ireland and an English mother Fiona Goodall, originally from Bolton, England. Imogen was raised alongside one sibling, an older brother named Alex. She had her early education at Bute House Preparatory School for Girls in Brook Green, Hammersmith and also attended Queen’s Gate School in South Kensington. The actress completed her secondary education at Latymer Upper School in Hammersmith.
Growing up, Poots’ greatest aspiration was to become a veterinary surgeon, however, all that changed after she fainted while witnessing a veterinary surgery.
