Is Goliath Coming Back With Season 3 Or Is It Cancelled?

Amazon is gradually making a name for itself thanks to the release of intriguing TV series that have turned out to be very successful. It has released top-rated shows like , , , Fleabag, Homecoming, Bosch, Sneaky Pete, as well as the much talked about 2016 show, Goliath. The second season of Goliath was officially released on 15th June 2018. It follows Billy McBride as he defends his friend’s son from a double homicide charge. During the process, he forms a friendship with the LA council lady, Marisol Silva played by Ana de la Reguera. He also faces challenges from La Mano cartel which was headed by Marisol Silva’s brother, Gabriel played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo. As the season progresses, Marisol makes it clear that she does not love Billy and the ruthless nature of her brother is further revealed when he cuts off the limbs of Tom Wyatt – portrayed by Mark Duplass.

Goliath is notable for leaving its viewers in suspense which is the pattern the first two seasons have followed. Therefore, it is believed that its season 3 will definitely takeoff from where it season 2 ended abruptly. Billy Bob Thornton’s character is likely to confront the La Mano cartel and he might also devise several means to annihilate Marisol’s power as a politician, given that he has also discovered that Marisol’s real name is Claudia Quintero. Billy McBride who is notable for his sense of moral justice will also ensure he keeps a clean slate in all his dealings and as the episodes unfold, he will strive to make the powerful criminals in Los Angeles get the kind of punishment they deserve.

Is Goliath Cancelled Or Renewed For A Third Season?

The Amazon series which has recorded success for its first season and second season has not been canceled rather, plans are already in motion for its third season which is slated to start airing on 4th October 2019. This was announced on 11th December 2018 and like the first two, Goliath season 3 might also consist of 8 episodes. Moreso, it is expected that new members will be added to the cast.

As mentioned earlier, in season 3 of Goliath, Billy will combat the La Mano cartel who is headed by Gabriel and he will also seek out the real truth about Marisol. In addition to this, Billy also takes up a case against a powerful rancher played by , in Central Valley. He works with his group to prove that Dennis is guilty of murder and this quest re-opens past feuds.

This season also features the likes of Amy Brenneman who is popular for appearing in The Leftovers, Beau Bridges from Homeland, The Destroyer actress Shamier Anderson, Griffin Dunne from House of Lies and from Twin Peaks: The Return.
