Is Lauren Cohan Finally Leaving Walking Dead in Season 9?

There is a very good chance that Lauren Cohan will be leaving The Walking Dead in the 9th season. Lauren and her character are both loved by the cast and fans alike.

During her time on the show, Lauren noted that she and her female co-stars (who were also billed as main characters) were being paid significantly less than their male counterparts. Heading into the new season, during contract negotiations, the actress asked for a pay raise (although not equal pay with her male counterparts) as one is wont to do after years at a job.

However, the network has been reluctant to give her the deserved increase despite support from fans and cast members on the actress’ side. Due to the network’s delay, she signed on to take a new role on the ABC series Whiskey Cavalier, presumably to show she wasn’t bluffing.

The actress has, however, signed on to appear in a few episodes of the ninth season of The Walking Dead but has refused to commit to the entire season.

Currently, her future with the show is unclear and undecided.

What Is She Up To Now?

Lauren Cohan recently signed on to play the lead role in the new ABC series – Whiskey Cavalier. She will play Francesca “Frankie” Trowbridge, a CIA agent with the codename ‘Fiery Tribune’ who leads an interagency team of spies alongside Will Chase, an FBI agent with the codename ‘Whiskey Cavalier’. Together, the team will save the world and each other.

Prior to accepting the role of Frankie Trowbridge, she was sought after by many networks and many shows for starring and lead roles. Safe to say the actress is doing alright.
