But after persuasion from Jeff and a visit from his Pastor, Jeff was accompanied by his mother to the church. While his Television debut came when he appeared in the Jeff Foxworthy Show in 1995 which was a sitcom that mirrored his stand-up comedy personality.

His career dwindled a bit in the late ’90s but he made a resurgence in the early 2000s as a result of his Blue Comedy Tour. The Blue Comedy tour was an off-shoot of the comedy troupe he formed alongside fellow comedians Bill Engvall, Ron White, and Larry the Cable Guy. They toured from Nebraska all the way to Washington DC, over a period of six years.

Foxworthy has authored books including You Might Be a Redneck If… in 1989, his autobiography No Shirt, No Shoes, and No problem which was released in 1996. He is known to be an avid lover of hunting, a passion he developed as a teen hunting with his father at his farm property in Georgia.
