The actress and singer were raised in Garden Grove, California although she was born in Long Beach California on June 26, 1992, and her full name is Jennette Michelle Faye McCurdy. Her family is of English, Dutch, French, Italian and Irish ancestry. She is the only girl child born to her parents and has 3 older brothers named Marcus, Scott, and Dustin. Her interest in acting was prompted when she watched Harrison Ford in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope and at age 8, she started her acting career on MAD tv.
