She gained more recognition with the success of her subsequent films from Bruce Almighty to Marley & Me both box office hits.

In addition to her successful career, Jennifer Aniston’s popularity surged due to her romance with another Hollywood beloved, Brad Pitt. This is one of Aniston’s first relationships to attract media attention. During a time when her career had begun to gain traction thanks to Friends, Jenny was seen a couple of times out and about with the dreadlocked Adam Duritz, the lead singer for the rock band Counting Crows. The relationship seemed to have ended right after it started.

Tate Donovan 1995 – 1998

Aniston’s relationship with Tate Donovan was widely considered as her first real relationship (no hard feelings to Mr. Duritz). Donovan had broken off his engagement with Sandra Bullock, so the world thought Aniston would go right into his life and fix everything that was broken. It looked good until it didn’t. They made a couple of red carpet appearances together and soon got engaged. However, like Donovan’s immediate past relationship, the engagement was only short-lived as they soon broke things off. That was in 1998. Donovan guest-starred in Friends as Aniston’s character, Green’s love interest. Anyway, Donovan got past the engagement phase in 2005 when Corinne Kingsbury walked down the aisle with him. Sadly, they didn’t last beyond three years.

Jennifer Aniston and Ex-Husband Brad Pitt (1998 – 2005)

Trying to get over what she thought would last forever, Aniston hooked up with certain Paul Rudd, but all it did was prepare her for the arrival of Mr. Right (at least we all thought he was at the time). Aniston and Pitt were actually matched up by their agents. It was a blind date, some sources say, and from how things turned out, they must have been thankful to their matchmaker(s) (we could drop a few bucks for a name).

Brad and Jen tried to lay low but they could only escape the ever-prying eyes of the media for a while. They made their red carpet debut as a couple at the September 1999 Emmys. Two months after that surprise appearance, Jenny was seen rocking a solid rock at a Sting concert. And then the big wedding in July 2000 which made several lists of the most expensive celebrity weddings.

Post-wedding, their flame continued to burn and Brad even made a guest appearance on Friends – what more could you require from a power couple? They announced plans to start making babies in February 2004 but before they could get into it, lady Jolie shows up on the set of Mr & Mrs. Smith portraying one half of the titular character and Pitt the other. The flame between Jen and Pitt begins to dim from then on. Pitt has since denied all allegations of cheating.

The new year 2005 started with the sad news of Brad and Jen’s split, ending their 7-year relationship, and with a second woman in the picture, the world didn’t take it lightly – well part of the world. Team Aniston and Team Jolie surfaced… remember those tees? Of course, Brad would go on to date Angelina Jolie. Fans of the film did love it though and we can’t deny how Brangelina looked so perfect together. Too bad it had to be at the emotional expense of another beloved. As we all know Brangelina ended things in September 2016, after two years of officially tying the knot.

Justin Theroux (2011 – 2018)

Justin Theroux was the next big thing to happen to Jennifer Aniston. But before Theroux came along, she had tired out Vince Vaughn (2005 – 2006) who was her co-star on The Break-Up, and singer John Mayer in 2008. Jennifer and Justin met on set of the 2011 film Wanderlust for the second time after their initial meeting on set back in 2007. She started things off with the actor and screenwriter almost immediately after their second encounter.

After a 15-month whirlwind romance, they were engaged in 2012 and married in August 2015. Sadly, they went separate ways in February 2018. Rumors surfaced that while Jen was married to Justin, she kept love notes from her days with Brad. This further sparked rumors that Jennifer and Brad could come back together. Well if that ever happens it would produce a shock greater than that of their respective divorces combined.
