Jon Bass is a vastly talented American actor who is popular for his role in Baywatch and Big Time in Hollywood, FL. He started his career in 2012 and has since then, remained quite consistent in both films and TV, with more than 20 works to his credit. Even though he is not necessarily the most famous actor one would get, his talent is quite overwhelming, thanks to which he has been able to handle every job with the same ease.

The actor was born Jonathan Bass on September 22, 1986, in Bellaire, Texas, United States. It was also there that he was brought up.

Of American nationality and Jewish ethnicity, not much is known about his father, but his mother’s name is Rhonda Bass. She has been very much supportive of his career since he was a child and decided acting was what he wanted to do. He was raised as the third of four children; Oren Bass, Benjamin Bass, and Rivkah Bass (also known as Rikki).

Looking at his education, the Texan actor went to Weiner Middle School where his music teacher Larry Dachslager exposed him to the works of , something that became an inspiration for him at that young age. Jon Bass later went to Bellaire High School from where he graduated in 2005. There, he was helped in his chosen path by his theater director, Paul Munson. While he was there, his major interest was in theatre arts and everything relating to acting. Because of this, he decided to further his education by getting a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Arts from Boston University.

He relocated to New York City after he graduated, with the hopes that he was the next great actor. This did not go as he planned and so he took to other jobs before getting some roles in some Off-Broadway plays that were pretty bad.

Not too long later, he got his role in the Broadway, Book of Mormon thanks to his agent and manager. From then, he got to launch his career in full.

He first appeared in a short film, Advise as Evan in 2012 and after that, he was in another short film The Refrigerator as Howie in 2014. In 2015, Jon Bass appeared in the horror thriller film Ratter in which he portrayed Greg. In that same year, he was given the role of Steve in Jane Wants a Boyfriend which was followed by the portrayal of Philip Hirschkop in the 2016 film, Loving.

2017 was a very busy year for him as he appeared in a number of movies such as All Nighter as Trevor, Baywatch which is among his most popular works as Ronnie Greenbaum, and Molly’s Game. He was also in the short films, Post-Party and Meet Cute. His most recent films are Dog Days (2018), Sword of Trust (2019), and Plus One (2019).

Even though he is more popular for his roles as a film actor, Jon Bass has also done some things on TV. He got his debut role in 2014 when he appeared in an episode of Girls as Mo. Also in the same year, he got to take the role of Shady PA in an episode of Next Time On Lonny and then Bree Dorrit in the HBO drama series, Newsroom. Big Time in Hollywood, FL became his first major role on TV in 2015 and then in 2016, he was in American Horror Story: Roanoke. His most recent work on TV was in Miracle Workers in 2019.
