Jonah Ray is an American comic actor and writer, best known as the current host of the podcast titled Mystery Science Theatre 3000. He is also one of the stars of the Comedy Central podcast titled The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail as well as The Nerdist Podcast.
The talented star began his stand-up comedy career in 2004 and has been active in the American entertainment industry for over a decade. Jonah Ray Biography
He was born as Jonah Ray Rodrigues on the 3rd day of August 1982; Ray is from Honolulu, Hawaii but was raised in the city of Kailua, situated on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. As a child, the talented comedian nurtured a dream of becoming a showman when he grows up and today he is living his dream doing what he knows how to do best. He completed his basic education in Hawaii before moving to Los Angeles where he eventually kicked off his comedy career. Jonah is also a talented singer and has been a part of several rock band groups since he was growing.
Career
Jonah first started his career as a musician in Los Angeles and subsequently, he switched to stand-up comedy and writing. He performed his first stint as a writer on The Andy Milonakis Show. Afterward, he went on to become both a writer and a comedian on the Showtime series titled The Offensive Show. Ray further made appearances on other popular television shows such as The Sarah Silverman Show, Crossbills, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Soup, and Saul of the Molemen, among others.
In 2013, Jonah Ray started hosting the comedy show titled The Meltdown along with Kumail Nanjiani. Later in the same year, the comedy central took over the show and changed its name to The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail. The show premiered in July 2014 and ended in 2016 after the completion of three seasons. He equally started his own podcast titled Jonah Raydio which features many independent music stars including Har Mar Superstar, Andrew Jackson Jihad, and Man Man.
In 2015, Joel Hodgson who is the creator of the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 comedy series announced that the series would be hosted by Jonah Ray. The show garnered funds through a successful Kickstarter campaign and was later released on Netflix in April 2017. Jonah Ray has been starring on the popular podcast titled The Nerdist alongside Chris Harwick and Matt Mira to date.

During the father’s day celebration in June 2018, Jonah posted his dad’s picture with that of his older brother on Twitter.
