Every romantic relationship has its issues and these issues tend to intensify when the relationship graduates from courtship to marriage, it becomes even more complicated when children begin to enter the equation. Are Josh and Anna Duggar Still Together?
The reality TV star, Josh Duggar has his full name as Joshua James Duggar. He was born on March 3, 1988, in Tontitown, Washington County, Arkansas, United States. Josh is the first child of his parents, Michelle Annette Ruark and James Robert Duggar’s 19 children. Josh was raised in a large, conservative Christian family. He did not attend high school, instead, he was homeschooled and was able to pass his GED which he took in Arkansas when he was 16 years old. He started appearing on the reality show 19 Kids and Counting in 2005, a TLC show which featured the Duggar family, including their parents and their 19 kids. On September 26, 2008, Josh got married to Anna Renée Keller, a Baptist Christian lady who was born the fifth of Mike and Suzette Keller’s eight children on June 23, 1988. They had their wedding at Buford Grove Baptist Church, Hillard, Florida, and moved to Springdale, Arkansas, where Josh was running a car dealership. Like her husband, Anna was homeschooled and she was brought up under strict rules. She obtained her high school diploma at age sixteen too. While growing up, Anna would follow her brother, Michael, to prison to minister to incarcerated women while he did the same with male inmates.
Anna met Josh at a Homeschooling convention two years prior to their wedding. She told her mother she liked him and shortly after, the two began courting. Josh and Anna courted for the next two years, a period during which they neither touched nor kissed each other. As a matter of fact, the couple did not spend any time alone together until they got married three months after Josh proposed to Anna on her 20th birthday.
Josh did not go to college after obtaining his GED, Anna didn’t either but she has a degree in Early Child Education which she obtained from an Online Christian college Program she enrolled in after what we can call her high school.
Two months after the birth of Josh and Anna Duggar’s fourth child, In Touch Weekly magazine reported that Josh Duggar had been accused of sexually molesting five underage girls when he was still a teenager, four of which were his own sisters while the fifth was a babysitter. In August of the same year, his name was among those released when Ashley Madison – an online dating website married people go to cheat, was hacked, and Duggar confirmed he had been cheating on his wife.
These scandals cost Duggar a lot, including the show, 19 Kids and Counting which had to be canceled as a result, he also lost his job as the Executive Director of the lobbying arm of Family Research Council Action, among several other consequences.
Everyone thought this would certainly cost him his immediate family as well, especially since Anna stated that she felt betrayed by her husband’s infidelity but she stuck by her man instead and Duggar enrolled in Reformers Unanimous, a sex addiction rehabilitation facility, for six months.
On Josh and Anna Duggar’s 11th wedding anniversary in June 2019, Anna took to her Instagram page to talk about how much she loves her husband and that she looks forward to them growing old together.
Are They Having Any More Children?
Josh and Anna Duggar were both 20 years old when they got married and since then, their marriage has been blessed with children. They had their first child, a daughter, Mackynzie Renee Duggar on October 8, 2009. Less than two years later, a baby boy, Michael James Duggar was born in the Duggar home on June 15, 2011. Marcus Anthony Duggar followed on June 2, 2013, then came Meredith Grace Duggar who was born on March 3, 2015.
Two years after news of Josh’s sexual misconduct went public, Josh and Anna Duggar announced in March 2017 that they were expecting their fifth child, and the baby named Mason Garrett Duggar was born on September 12, 2017. The couple announced again in April 2019 that they were expecting their sixth child, a baby girl, which is expected sometime in the latter part of 2019. For now, it is not known if the couple will be having more children after the birth of their sixth child.
