Juan Mata has been very successful in his footballing career with a number of coveted trophies under his belt, something he attributes to a bit of luck. The Spanish midfielder who was born on 28 April 1988 in Burgos, Spain began his career at Real Oviedo. He joined Real Madrid’s youth team three years later in 2003 and made it to their B team, Real Madrid Castilla in 2006.

Juan Mata’s dad, Juan Manuel Mata Rodríguez has been one of the key people in his career. Growing up, Mata looked up to his father who was a professional football player. Mata’s dad, after whom he is named, played in the 1980s and 1990s and spent his early years honing his skills at Real Oviedo, the same football club that Mata Jr would come to start his youth career.

Mata’s dad played as a forwarder in the right-wing position and was revered for his pace. He shined during his time at the now-defunct Spanish football club Burgos CF, the local club of Burgos, Burgos where Mata was born.

With his experience in football, Juan Sr was able to help young Mata Jr make the right decisions that would put him on the global football stage. Eventually, he became his agent, helping him negotiate deals. In the process, Mata’s dad came to be a registered FIFA football agent and still serves as his agent to this day.

Back in 2010 during the world cup, Mata was dating a certain Australian lady named Lorena Martínez. After their relationship ended, Mata began dating Swedish beauty, Evelina Kamph. Their relationship is speculated to have begun somewhere between 2014 and 2015.

Kamph is not just a beauty but has also got brains. Born in 1989, she holds a master’s degree in osteopathy from The British School of Osteopathy in London. Osteopathy is a drug-free alternative form of medicine that manipulates the musculoskeletal framework in order to treat medical disorders and improve one’s general well-being across all body systems.

Evelina Kamph who hails from Höllviken, Sweden spent about two years working in Europe’s largest osteopathy clinic. She now works with Rich Therapies as one of their therapists. Her profile on the clinic’s website (richtherapies.com) says Evelina is a full member of the Institute of Osteopathy.

Could it be that Mata and Evelina met during one of his trips to fix an injury? Guess we’ll never know… Mata and his girl unlike most footballers and their WAGs seem to be quite private about their personal lives. Mata, for one, has never posted about her on his social media page while Evelina’s IG page is private.
