The naturally beautiful American actress, Kathleen Wilhoite, always had a thing for entertainment starting from her childhood days. As a lover of music, she joined the choir while still a child. Just like many other great stars, she had her own share of challenges but was able to face and overcome them. Her love and passion for acting made her put in her best into it when she was given the opportunity to appear in her first film and having done justice to the role given her, it opened the door for several other offers.

It is not an easy task being an actress, singer, wife and most especially a mother, but Kathleen has been able to hold everything together while executing each aspect with equal energy and enthusiasm leaving her successes to tell the story.

Kathleen Wilhoite’s Bio

Kathleen Alice Wilhoite was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California, on June 29, 1964. Although the names of her parents are not known, it is known through one of her interviews that she is one out of five children. She went to high school at the Santa Barbra High School in 1977, after which she decided to pursue a career in acting which prompted her attending the USC School of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles.

Growing up, her love for music saw her join her church choir in first grade. Kathleen Wilhoite would later join “The Carpenter”, a prominent back-up choir in Santa Barbra, where she started performing on stage. While in high school, she took piano lessons and joined a harmony group called Boogie Woogie, Bugle Girls, where she wrote and also sang songs.

After high school, she went to USC School of Dramatic Arts, after she realized her passion for acting was growing stronger. In 1983, her acting career kicked off when she got a role in Private Teacher, where she played the role of Betsy. After her first role, she didn’t have to wait for long as various offers started coming afterward. Among her several films are; Murphy’s Law (1986), Witchboard (1986), The Edge (1997), Firecracker (2005), and so many others.

Kathleen Wilhoite also starred in several popular television series such as ER which she acted from the year 1994 to 2002 and L.A Doctors in 1996. In 2001, she made an appearance in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, 24 in 2002, Criminal Minds, The Mentalist in 2010, and so many others. She also got the role to voice Sue Peltzer in the animated television series Summer Camp Island in 2018 and other animated series.

The fact her acting career took off so well did not stop her from pursuing her musical career; she has two albums to her name Pitch Like a Girl which was released in 1998, and Shiva, released in the year 2000. She did a one-woman-show, which she titled Stop Yelling, an autobiography where she performed songs from her albums, and it was directed by Kathy Najimy.

Personal Life – Husband, Children

On February 21, 1997, Kathleen Wilhoite got married to her husband David Harte who is a record producer and writer and who has done works like The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson in 2005, The Morning After in 2011 and Breaking Bread With Brook Burke in the year 2015. He is also a professional drummer and has featured in the albums of renowned artists.

The couple is blessed with three children, one of whom is named James Raymond Harte mostly called Jimmy-Ray Harte born in 1995. Not so much is known about their kids as the couple has done a very good job of keeping their children away from the public as much as they can. As a result, there is no information regarding the rest of their children at the moment.

She attended the same high school at Santa Barbra with her ER’s co-star, Anthony Edwards.

At the age of sixteen, she was a member of the Santa Barbra Songwriters Guild, making her the youngest person there.

She has a great height which is measured at 5 feet 5 inches.

Her husband has a record label, The Daves, which he signed her into.

She auditioned for the role of Phoebes in the popular television series, Friends.
