Kim Yugyeom Age and Early Life
Yugyeom was born on November 17, 1997, in Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. At the time, both his parents lived in Saudi Arabia as a result of the fact that it was there that his father was working. Therefore after his birth, his mother moved back to the Saudi Kingdom where the family lived for a little while before finally moving back home.
Raised with an elder brother, the GOT7 star attended the Donong Elementary School, and then the Migeum Middle School. He got his high school education from Hamlim Arts High School. While he was there, he majored in street dance.
His career began in 2014 after he got to be a part of the JYP alongside other stars including JB, BamBam, Choi Youngjae, Mark Tuan, Jackson Wang, and Jay Park. Prior to the start of his career, it is said that his mom did not want him to be an idol even though he has what it takes to be one.
JYP is a South Korean entertainment company that was founded by singer and producer Park Jin-Young. It is to the Label that Kim and other members of the GOT7 are signed. Apart from the band, JYP also manages other stars in the country and bands such as Baek A-Yeon, 15&, Nakjoon, Day6, Twice, Stray Kids as well as Jeon So-mi.
Kim and another member of the band, JB got signed in 2009 before other members made it subsequently. The band released its first EP in 2014, Got It?. They suddenly became a significant group; with the album, they were able to get the attention of the market beyond just South Korea. Their first single to later be released was Around the World.
The coming years would see the group releasing albums such as Identify (2014) which is their first full album release, Moriagatteyo (2016), and Flight Log: Turbulence (2016). It has also had a very successful world tour in 2016 (Fly Tour) and the GOT7 World Tour Eyes On You (2018) is still on the way. They have also had concerts in various countries including the US, Canada, Japan, Germany, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, China, and others all over the world.
In terms of awards and accolades, Kim and other members of the band have won 3 Gaon Chart Music Awards, 4 Golden Disc Awards, 3 Mnet Asian Music Awards, 3 Seoul Music Awards, 1 Fashion Power Awards, and JOOX Thailand Music Awards. The band has also won MTV Europe Music Awards, SEED Awards, and Top Chinese Music Festival among many other awards and nominations.

Kim Yugyeom has a small family that is made up of his father, mother, and older brother as earlier noted. Even though there is very little that is known about his father, his mother has been seen many times than once in the pictures he shares on social media. While he is the youngest member of the GOT7, Kim Yugyeom still manages to be the tallest. As a result of his height, he is one of the most recognized members of the 7-man group.
